At Geosantro, you will find a massive variety of top-quality sealing materials and silicones suitable for any construction, technical, or industrial work. Our range includes anti-mold silicones, polyurethane mastics (PU), acrylic sealants, thread sealants, as well as hybrid MS Polymer adhesives, covering every need for sealing, insulation, and bonding.
Silicone is an extremely versatile material. Depending on its type (acetoxy or neutral), it can bond and seal materials such as glass, ceramics, tiles, porcelain, aluminum, wood, metals, and even certain plastics. It is ideal for sanitary ware, kitchen countertops, windows, and joints, offering excellent elasticity and long-lasting durability.
For areas with continuous exposure to water, such as the bathroom or kitchen, anti-mold silicones are the ideal choice, as they prevent the formation of black spots and mold. For outdoor waterproofing on roofs, terraces, or windows, a polyurethane sealing adhesive (PU) or an MS Polymer offers complete waterproofing and immense resistance to weather conditions.
An insulating sealing adhesive combines powerful bonding with sealing properties. It is used in cases where you want to join two materials while simultaneously preventing the passage of air, moisture, or water. It is excellent for sealing joints in metal structures, panels, vehicles, and boats, as well as for general demanding construction applications.
This depends entirely on the chemical composition of the product. Standard silicones (acetoxy or neutral) cannot be painted over because paint cannot adhere to them, resulting in cracking and peeling. If you plan to paint the surface after sealing, you should choose acrylic sealants or hybrid materials (MS Polymers).
To achieve the maximum possible adhesion and sealing performance, the surface must be completely clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, or old silicone residue. We recommend cleaning the area thoroughly with a specialized cleaner, removing any loose materials with a scraper or putty knife, and allowing the surface to dry completely.
The skin formation time is usually 10 to 20 minutes, but full curing (deep drying) depends on the joint's thickness, temperature, and humidity. On average, sealants cure at a rate of approximately 2-3 millimeters per 24 hours. It is best to avoid any exposure to water during the first day.
