The use of an activator can reduce the final strength of the adhesive used by approximately 20% compared to the ideal values. The activator is very compatible with common plastics. However, when used for the first time, it should be tested in an inconspicuous place to determine whether the plastic is resistant to the activator (as a precautionary measure).
