Ideal for grinding in confined spaces, e.g. in the construction of molds, containers and devices and in the construction of pipes.
Working without applying high force, with a high material removal rate
Elastic and soft abrasive sheets
Ideal for enclosed spaces
The easy-to-reset synthetic resin core facilitates optimal operation in confined spaces without damaging the workpiece.
Announcement
Flap discs achieve optimum performance at the recommended cutting speed of 15–20 m/s. Ideal combination between removal rate, surface quality, load due to workpiece temperature and service life of the flap wheel. The maximum permissible rotational speed (min-1) should never be exceeded for safety reasons. Flexible shafts, electric and pneumatic straight grinders can be used as drive tools.
Lifespan and heat development:
Low contact pressure and peripheral speed increase the service life of the flap disc and minimize the temperature load on the workpiece.
Material removal:
Increasing the removal rate should be achieved by changing to a coarser grain and not by increasing the contact pressure.
Surface quality:
High cutting speeds with low contact pressure provide very little roughness. Increasing the contact pressure with low cutting speed increases the depth of roughness. The softer the material to be machined, the greater the depth of roughness (when using the same grain size).
Safety is only guaranteed if the clamping length is 15 mm and the specified maximum rotational speed for open shaft lengths is not exceeded. General working and safety precautions must be followed.
